Styling Blog Posts: Cookie Sandwiches

A few weeks ago, my design heroine, Danielle from Kitschy Digitals, asked me if I had a tutorial that showed how to use clip art and digital embellishments. And since I didn't have one, I created this tutorial using elements from two of Danielle's beautiful kits: Granny's Attic and Vintage Stacked Flowers.

In the screencast, you will learn how to:
1. Create and use clipping masks.
2. Create a "torn" paper edge.
3. Use digital embellishments in your blog posts.

I hope you enjoy the tutorial. :)

How to Make Your Own Stationery Textures

I finished recording these screencasts this morning, so get them while they're hot! ;) There are 4 easy tutorials spanning a few of minutes each. They show you how to make gingham, polka dots, graph and binder paper. I was going to create a screencast showing you how to make diagonal striped patterns, but I changed my mind since it's easier and faster to use Stripe Generator instead -- head on over there if you want diagonal stripes. But for all the other patterns, these tutorials will set you off on the right foot.

I hope you have fun making your own seamless patterns and stationery textures! By the way, these tutorials are best viewed in full screen.
